New website format is a bit annoying

Hello,

First I would like to say thank you for all the hard work the team is doing on the website, I have a one issue though.

Since I'm from Bahrain all the numbers appear in Arabic which is annoying, can somebody tell me how to change the number format and all the regional settings to English without changing the country? Thanks.

The language/currency/formatting is set by location. Old Fuelly did the same thing.

For the currency yes it was but it was at least in English.
For the numbering no it wasn't, English number were used on the old website.

Ah, I went to double check, and I now see the differences.

We'll look into this and see what we can do to restore it to how it was, or at least give the option.

I'll post in this thread when we have a resolution.

raise same concern

i just want to raise the same concern, hopefully you can give us the option to choose or make it like the old fuelly.

Are you saying that the numbers being displayed by Fuelly for Bahrain are not how numbers are commonly displayed in Bahrain? We are using localized settings that are supposed to give you display information that is relevant to your chosen country.

First of all, i am from Egypt, not Bahrain, however i have the same issue.
The numerals being displayed are used in Arab countries, you are correct.

However, we are used to reading the numerals as used in the old fuelly, because this is what the whole "internet" uses, so yes we can perfectly read these numerals, but they don't feel comfortable to the eye browsing the internet.

Also, scientifically/historically speaking, the Arabic correct numerals are the 0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9 which are the "Western Arabic" in this Wikipedia link http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eastern_Arabic_numerals

On last thing, i -personally- would prefer the currency to be LE or EGP instead of it's Arabic initials ج.م. again, for the sake of matching what we are accustomed to all over the internet.

After discussing options, Freddie is going to look into adding a feature to opt-out of Locale Based Settings and switch to an English display.

Not sure when this will be implemented, but I ask for your patience as we dig into this.
