But just imagine... on Mars:
Gravity is so much less, so much less rolling resistance
There will be almost no wind resistance
There would be no parasitic drag on the engine, and the exhaust fumes would be expelled into a near-vacuum, possibly allowing turbine type alternator devices for improved energy recovery!
The downside is you would need a mars base, space-suit, and oxygen supply built into the car for fuel
