We have limits in place because this is a free service and we don't have unlimited resources. We don't want someone to add potentially hundreds of cars, we'd rather you use Fuelly to track your existing cars. So we give everyone a limit so no one user is using more than their fair share.
You could list all of your previous cars in your profile description instead of creating individual records for them by creating the vehicle then retiring it.
