Here's my GasSavers.org sticker! I didn't want to put it down low at the bottom since the rear spoiler would block the view. I had somebody short-beep me in a truck as they went by. A possible GasSaver wanna-be?

I did a few EOC where traffic permitted on my last leg of a 16-mile round trip today and SG reported 45 MPG! Cool! I usually get low to mid 30's around town.

I've made it my mission to get no less than 40 MPG on my 70-mile freeway commute to and from work. Got 46 MPG once by getting lucky to have a 62-65 MPH semi to draft behind at a safe 4-second following distance for 30 miles. I like to be able to see the truck's mirror. They appreciate it too. They don't mind so much if they can see you. I'm going for 50 MPG!

Why do you think they mind if you draft them? You are behind them, and cannot cause them to have an accident. I don't see why they would care.

Drafting at a safe and reasonable distance... no issue, and shouldn't ever be an issue for the draftee - the semi truck driver.

Now this on the other hand...

Boy reading that article about drafting trucks - what a bunch of B S - first if you get behind one it's because they are going fast and just passed you - I have very seldome seen a truck going slow unless there is a cop ahead. Second if you every get a bunch in a row they move a lot of air - all you have to do is watch the leaves on a fall day to see just how far back they affect air flow. Third the savings at higher speeds are enormous like at 75mph going from 35 without a little drafting to 45-50 mpg drafting. Forth - they don't vary their speed widely and in fact keep pretty steady except for hills and that is going to happen to any vehicle. Finally if you even follow a truck at a safe distance it is almost certain that some moron will pull in between you and the truck way too close to you anyway.

Of course the real question is what am I doing typing this on a holiday when I should be outside enjoying the sunshine.

Since no one drafts me (for very long ! ) I decided the rear quarter window treatment would achieve the most exposure . After all they'll be looking to see if the driver is actually young enough to drive or at least still alive

drivers side :

passenger side (lil crooked but I don't use the fast lane anyway LOL ) :

and a cute lil ol car @ 1 block away from me . Captured the beastie on cell cam while I walked my dog :
