Does anyone out here ever pay one cent more for gas because the station charging less is across the street? If so then you are the reason prices are not at those lowest. If everyone and I mean everyone always went to the lowest price station, even for just a cent lower price then the competing station would have to lower his price to match. Then the station that was on cent lower would again lower his price, then the one across the street would again match. This would continue until the lowest price possible is reached. Always find the lowest price within a reasonable distance and tell everyone you know to do the same. One cent may only be 15 cents per tank per tank but it stops the cycle of higher and higher prices. If the one cent higher station stops getting any business he must lower his price.
