A lot of the cars in USA are AT, in Europe MT.
Kind of like a 90/10 mix; 90%AT in USA, 90%MT in Europe.
I would also love to see real life fuel comparisons to AT or MT transmissions.
Though a lot of it has to do with City drive. On Highways they both should consume about as much gas (unless the 'direct drive' ratio differs from both transmissions), but in cities it depends on how the driver of the MT shifts gears; where AT's supposed to always shift gears the same way.
One thing that is worth mentioning is that a Manual Transmission box is lighter than an automatic one; so in a city it would make some difference start/stopping on every street light.
