Color change to new post indicator

I like the E to F gauge to indicate new posts in a section.
I think it needs a color change in addition to the needle shift though. A fast scroller might miss the needle alone. Even just major shift in shade should work.

I have been thinking this since the "gauge" change. I like the needles better than the spheres, but I think the addition of a color change would help as well.

I wonder, since we are asking for things, about a change that was made quite some time ago when the new software took affect.

It was different from other forums and I kind of liked it. It used to have beside of a thread when it was started. it also has the last updated post time. that way it is easy to see if someone has just resurrected a thread from 4 years ago or if it is a hot topic that has been discussed in detail within the last few days.

there again, it isn't that big of a deal. I don't know code and it may be much harder than I think it is (this is usually the case).
