AVG fuel per length travelled lower than the best

My V70 shows up having a lower avg than best, which is weird.

Looking at numbers below the average is about 15% better than the best, and 20% better than the last in which I tried to drive really efficient allthough which were more costly trips than the best (highway+city vs probably much smaller country side roads).

(be aware that we measure fuel/distance in Sweden, so anyone using e.g. MPG (distance/fuel) may think my last is best, but it's actually worst)

"much smaller" should be "mostly smaller"
