Hi Matt, et. al.
Just FYI, the attachments are not vieweable by non-logged in folks. It is especially noticable when used as an inline image.

I noticed this too when I wasn't yet registered on the site. but I was so inteested in seeing the attachments that I joined, so I could see them, lol. Maybe that is his thinking on the subject?

I think it's S.O.P. Teamswift works the same way (need to be logged in to see pics - edit: locally hosted pics).
It might be an image linking/pilfering prevention thing.

I'm reasonably sure it is a mere checkbox in the admin control panel that has defaulted to "do not allow".
It is a matter of policy, not capability.
