Oh the embarrassment....
October: 112.04
November: zero
December (so far): zero

I came down with the flu (one of them) in early November. I had such a coughing fit that I either cracked a rib, tore a muscle / ligament in my rib cage, or developed an infection in that area that left me unable to breathe deeply without pain. Sneezing nearly put me on the floor.
It's mid December and I still have twinges when I cough, if I sneeze, and also when I lay on my back (and my growing paunch pushes back and up expanding my rib cage).
And I haven't ridden in nearing two months.
I suspect that I'm done for this year.

2010 couldn't possibly be much worse than '09, could it? '09 started with me falling from my bike and breaking my thumb, and now I suspect I've a cracked rib.

I couldn't take it any more. This morning I (finally) went to the doctor, who then sent me to the hospital for x-rays.
Yep, I fractured a rib, apparently from coughing when I had one of the flu bugs. It's been about 10 weeks and it still hasn't healed.
