Just saw the Tesla on Top Gear. Very impressive - though not particularly pretty and very expensive. I have to say though, wouldnt mind a sub 4 second 0-60 time if it came with such great economy!

Well the model three coming out next year, maybe the year after will be about £35,000 that's mid range BMW 3 series, Audi A5 and Mercedes money. I'm assuming if costs continue to fall, which they will because Tesla are building the Worlds biggest building just for battery production, then in about 4-5 year, Tesla should have a base model available for about £15000 to £20000. It will be something I'll consider in the future, if they ever build any charge points here...

I should add that I was really tempted to put a deposit down for a model 3 with the idea that my house will sold by then. Model 3's will have such a long waiting list, I was going to add £10,000 to the price and sell it on to some impatient rich person who can't be bothered to wait, and there will be plenty. But its a big risk, my house might take years to sell...
