These guys buy the batteries of crashed Teslas and then tear them down and re-use them, sometimes put them in other cars. This video shows the battery tear down:
That made for some happy hangover viewing, good find. Would love a little project like that, and some friends who know what they're doing. Always thought it would be cool to convert my old insight into an full EV, with plenty of space already where the existing ice/hybrid system was. I like to idea of converting old classics into EV's too, faster, more reliable, more eco friendly but keeping the classic design profile etc.
