Thanks for the quick reply!
You got one of those clip on 2 stroke kits? Some are better than others ( I have heard). Keep me posted. I am getting ready to build a custom Tomos moped (for my trips over 18 miles).
Did you have all of the stuff to convert the MR-2? Or were you just preparing and decided not to purchase the stuff?
I thought pretty hard about converting a Karman Ghia, but opted for the Buge.
The quality and engineering of the chassis and body are exceptional. The price does parachute a bit, and it is not like a "snap together" model.
The guess of 80 hours for a 1st build is probably about right. Still not bad.
I am not a great instruction follower, and I have made some improvements that have cost me some time as well as some trouble. No regrets.
I figure that I will be in for less than 7 with batteries.

You can also look to the EVDL mailing list.
As far as I know, you are the first BugE owner to pop up on this forum.
And for what it's worth, I have abandoned the MR2 conversion. It just didn't seem practical to spend so much time and effort on a 2 seater that wasn't in great shape to begin with.
I have now ordered a 50cc 2-stroke bike conversion kit and will likely get by on that for awhile, but I'm now leaning heavily toward the BugE again when finances permit.
