We had no heater in the 1960 air-cooled Corvair my parents bought for us when it first came out. Circulating hot water was not available for heat in that car, so the factory offered a gasoline heater as an option. Those who had cabin heat with that model Corvair paid a price in fuel economy.

My last two car purchases were older cars, 10-15 years and I remember thinking how old fashioned the CD players were in them, and how dangerous it must have been to eject one, find the case, open it, put the cd back in, find a different cd and repeat that, all with one hand whilst driving. How times have changed.
