the author is not an environmentalist, conservationist, economist, nor anything vaguely resembling them. he is an auto enthusiast! it seems some are starting to get it.
BTW, directly next to this article in the printed version is a Q & A section. the first question is by a 2004 corvette owner asking if it's ok to use 87 octane in this car, HIS DAILY COMMUTER vehicle. his commute is 99% city driving, rarely exceding 25mph.
i would have told him his car accepts E85, and to use straight corn oil until E85 makes it to orlando.
