Still not sure about the looks Vs the previous model. Cannot go wrong with a Golf though, great all rounder. On the flip side, I'm the guy that opts for the "alternative" as I like to be different to everyone else.
I have never had a VW and I have no desire to own one. My daughter has a SEAT and it is a money pit. Recently had to replace the turbo. That wasn't cheap.
I had a Jetta in the 80's. It was overall a good car. I probably should have kept it longer than I did. I'd get another if there was one that appealed.
