Green Car Congress: Fuel Additive Manufacturer Slapped with $1.25M EPA Penalty
The company website makes the usual dubious claims - more complete burn blah blah - offering little in the way of meaningful scientific support for them:
Quote:
Biofriendly Corp. has agreed to pay the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) $1.25 million for manufacturing and selling an unregistered fuel additive in Texas and California. This is the largest penalty ever levied for violation of the Clean Air Act?s registration requirements for fuels and fuel additives.

Green Plus is a patented technology, working at the molecular level to slightly ?unbundle? complex hydrocarbon molecule clusters to enable oxygen to reach the fuel and react with the fuel more easily. Improving combustion processes results in a ?positive domino effect? ? that is, a more complete burn, a more linear burn and a cooler burn. This in turn delivers more power, more torque, better fuel economy and fewer harmful emissions.

(No, I'm not going to link to their site and give them the benefit of future traffic. Google Biofriendly Green Plus if you must.)
