Wow congrats to them, Renault always were awesome at chassis handling. Defo a future collectors car, much like the Megane R26R, with its factory perspex windows, carbon fibre body panels, stripped out A/C and fully fitted roll cage. Not to be messed with. Not huge on power, but when you can deploy that power for longer periods thanks to good handling, they make superb progress on road or track.

Specs and pricing information have been released according to the article written yesterday. Quite an impressive car.

Wow, they've really been busy with the weight saving fair play. Only 30 to be sold in the UK, I bet they go for a heavy price and sell out straight away. Should hold their value well given the rarity and pedigree.

Yes, I wonder just how quickly all 30 will be gone. I'm sure it will only be days, maybe even less than a day. I wonder how long it will be from delivery until the first one is wrecked as well.

Hopefully none will be wrecked. These things are so finely tuned for their handling, the traction is more than safe for the average drivers capabilities. They're pretty safe, it's not like buying a new Mustang ha.

Yes, hopefully none will be wrecked although that high performance level is liable to exceed some owners abilities. And I realize now to be clearer I should have said I wonder how quickly all 30 will be sold not gone.

There is always some rich daddy buys his son (these days it could be a daughter, they are just as reckless as boys now) a high performance car which he promptly wrecks. If a teenage boy cannot handle a bog standard Corsa, what hope does he have with a Renault Megane RS Trophy-R. An acquaintance of mine bought his son a brand new Lotus Elan for his 18th (this story didn't happen yesterday). My brother, a mate of the ill fated boy, reckoned he wouldn't last a fortnight. Nine days later the lad was dead. Testosterone is a very dangerous drug.

Important not to stereotype though, my previous two accidents (one almost fatal) were caused by someone in their 50's and a 65 year old woman. Experience is a big help on the road, but younger drivers are more alert, have quicker reactions, better perception, better eyesight and are less likely to be suffering from a medical condition requiring medication. Without sounding offensive, the majority of bad driving I see is by older drivers, I usually pass them as soon as possible, not least because they drive far too slow, which causes stress and rage in following traffic.

Drivers under the age of 25 cause 85% of all serious injury accidents.
With regard to your accidents, what was the common denominator? Oh that's it. You were. I have watched your YouTube channel.
