The LEZ in Edinburgh doesn't involve charges. However, if your car doesn't meet the criteria (Euro 4 for petrol, Euro 6 for diesel and Euro VI for buses and HGVs) there is a £60 fine (50% if you pay within £14 days)and a surcharge if you enter again within 90 days.

Yea I understand the principle of it. But even an annual Railcard for zones 1-6 is £3000, that doesn't exactly sound enticing either.

Me neither. I have family that way, but I never visit. It's 20 years this year since I last visited the city of London.

Wow, that's a huge extra expense just to go into the city. I'm glad they haven't thought of that around here, yet.
