It felt far more premium to drive than the price would suggest. This may partially be due to the fact that EVs are very smooth and quiet giving a sense of refinement associated with luxury cars. Sure a few of the interior materials are of lower quality than rival offerings, but the costs have to be made somewhere and it feels pretty well bolted together. There were no cabin rattles or vibrations although the car was brand new.

Yesterday we ordered a trophy in volcano orange. This is the top spec with every toy possible. There's a 4 month wait, but if you want the orange, it's a whole extra month, so we're looking at March delivery, which coincides with the new 23 Registration. It will be my mum's daily driver, although I'll no doubt be driving it quite a bit too which I'm looking forward to doing as the MG4 is a good car. Will be interesting to see what the big Welsh hills do to the fuel consumption, and how much regen we'll generate going back down the other side.

Congratulations, good things are worth the wait. The MG4 looks very sharp, especially in the orange color. The Chevy Volt let's me save a bunch of money to spend on my hobbies, it's very cheap to run; even more than I first thought.

Thanks. Even with energy prices as they are, I think long term it will save my mum money as she'll be charging from home, which is far cheaper than public chargers. The service costs are about £100 a year too which is almost a fifth the cost of what my first service on the Peugeot cost. Also residual values are higher than industry average at 64%, I'm sure high demand plays a part as does the 7 year warranty which is rare for cars in the UK, I think only Kia match that.
