My friend has an Audi TT TDI and because of how sleek and aerodynamic it is, she happily gets 60-70 MPG in it. It's a manual so it's a tad slower than the auto, but the trade off is 10-20% better fuel economy.

My hero has always been the tortoise, not the hare. I could easily live with that and find it actually a positive.

It's still pokey enough with 180 BHP and a sprint time of around 7 seconds.

I have the 8th gen Honda Civic 1.8 MT. and I easily manage to get 35-37MPG when driving out of the town and when in town I get around 28-31 MPG. Really happy.
