The i3 no longer needs a generator as battery tech has advanced, the range, whilst still not the best in class, is more than adequate for most. I quite like the i3, wouldn't mind one as a run about.
It seems now would be a terrible time to buy a second hand electric car as Rory from autotrader explains. With range as low as 30 miles at motorway speeds, and 40 miles at mid winter slower speeds, not to mention soaring energy prices that have pushed the pence per mile to 15, a fossil fueled car is currently far more cheaper and convenient. Put your EV considerations on the back burner for now...
