The Sierra was the ugliest car ever when it was first released. Little did we realise it was the shape of things to come and now is perfectly acceptable.

I had a Mercury Merkur XR4Ti that I believe was their version of the Sierra. It was a fun car but real life intruded and made 4 doors more important.

The Sierra XR4 was available here and was a bit of a beast.

That looks a lot like the one I had. I'd like to have it back now, along with a few others over the years.

Me too. If I could have one car back it would be this one. My 1952 Wolseley 4/50.
Shaft drive overhead cam engine with one large SU carburettor.

I'm not sure I ever even heard of that brand before. It's a cool looking sedan. I like that look and that era.

Wolseley was set up in 1901 by the Vickers Armaments in conjunction with Herbert Austin. It went into receivership in 1927 and was bought by William Morris. It was a badge engineered Morris eventually becoming part of the British Motor Company which became British Leyland. The Wolsely name was dropped in 1975. The 4/50 was made from 1948 until 1953. Its big brother, the 6/80 was used by the police and all the old movies of the era feature them as police vehicles.

The DS always impressed me with it's futuristic looks and clever suspension. Love the way it can actually drive on 3 wheels if you get a puncture. The suspension was so good, it was used by Rolls Royce, some people don't know that.

I like the DS. I've seen one a few times over here but it's rare. It was the lead's car in a show we had called The Mentalist. I'd get one if it was an option.
