the rub is that politics blocks every positive move towards improvement. and yes that includes alternative energy and conservation. voters need to make their reps accountable. ponder...

cutting congress in half(and cut local gov't as well), limiting terms, and, make everyone pay taxes. this would likely take care of most of the earmarks and pork, as well as many fat salaries and it would make available more needed revenue.

the problem is if we don't make tough(better) spending choices now, welfare type programs will be overwelmed such that taxes will be raised putting us well on our way to socialism. once there, it will NOT be reversible.

am i dreaming? perhaps, but let's ask ourselves something. why are corporations all over the US cutting salaries, positions, benefits, etc while our wonderful gov't is spending more is cutting less?

agent change hasn't even taken office and is rebuting on his promises. shocking!!! i don't blame him, it is the monster we have created. i'm nobody and can see what needs to be done. ask someone that worked during in the carter admin how well higher taxes worked.

i guess what i'm saying is that you can't blame corporate greed when our politicians are either sleeping w/ them or taxing them into oblivion.

yours truly,
concerned citizen
