Actually, it was a fabric top "hardtop" car...combining the fabric roof of pre-1936 closed cars with the open look of a late '50s hardtop sedan.

it actually looks like one of those tornado bunkers you used to see in old movies. the ones where everyone used to hide in after they yelled "IT'S A TWISTER, IT'S A TWISTER"
