Vortex Generators

More and more trailers use these, so I guess they must help.

But there are still those more into the exotic.., the vortex generators.

I couldn't find the driver to ask about MPG gains.

I wonder about streamlining a cylinder. Especially on a truck that might spend most of it's time on surface streets.

Re: Vortex Generators

There is that question of payback cost, I know I just do not get the high mileage on the highway I used to get with the Racing Disks since I took them off but man are my wheels rolling smoothly without them throwing them out of balance and clicking at low speeds. The vortex generators were always interesting but the idea of about $2.50 each . . . Well as we say you have to pay for the engineering.

Re: Vortex Generators

Perspective.
I use $50.00 or more of gasoline five days a week.
Wouldn't take long for even a one MPG improvement to pay back.
