The EVO is meant to be an agressive-looking vehicle and smokes just about anything out there.

I agree -- I had tons of tranny probs, even with proper break-in (bad run of transmissions). When it ran, it works well for both race and 4-doorness.
But yes, the STI (big I this year) reigns supreme. I should've gotten one of those instead -- I might still have had it today (bad for mileage tho :P and speeding is just way too easy }
Honestly drive either of these cars and you'll be impressed.
