Seems like packing tape would work for those wheels.
I like the fairing. Maybe you should flare it out a bit to direct air around the wheel and the rear of the wheelwell

I have heard of people using pizza pans and tying it to the rims with wire. I have hub caps myself and tape may be a quick way to experiment. I have heard people say that you won't get much of a gain from it. even the moon disk hub caps (sometimes referred to as racing disks) don't see much gain from it.

there again, a few not too much's can equal a descent little gain.

I'm with the tape idea. just try it with tape (it'll look crappy but won't cost much) and if you like the gains you see then put some money into it so your car doesn't look like crap.

There are a few web pages around with instructions on how to do it with pizza pans, so if you decide to go that route you won't have to do it without instructions.

I got the Racing disks from MoonEyes - one nice thing about then is how easy it is to clean them vs the plastic 7 spoke mag wheel covers I had. I see about 1-2 mpg increase with them - I know it went up a little on my usual trips but the exact amount varies so much it is hard to say exactly how much of an increase. Have to be careful about hitting curbs with these babies because they do stick out a little at the center and will not just bend out of the way like plastic caps.

I guess they only fit on steel wheels. Did you notice any problems with brakes cooling?
