I have no way of knowing for certain, as the factory inlet location was not particularly well shielded from under-hood air.

Mine hasn't had the factory airdam for over five years, it was pulled off by a marmot we hit on the freeway. I couldn't figure out what it was for after dragging it under the car for 30 miles @ 80 mph. I am glad to know it helped the milage.

This spoiler would have made road. I feel better when I attached the pipe to the radiator and install a new cover between the bottom of the dashboard and front stabilizer bar.
