Try covering your CA/WA/OR license plate with a cover and get a ticket. It's illegal in some states to do it, but if you have an out of state plate, that state's regs apply in all other states.
WV has no mandated front plate and you could do this to cover your vanity plate.

That's not necessarily true. Nobody enforces such rules, other than annual inspection people. In Canada, they are getting rid of front license plates already because of "aerodynamics".
Here in Texas; it is illegal too.... but look around every 1 minute on the highway you see at least a few cars without license plates.
I am ordering one from these people. I drive way too much on the highway. It is only $3 /per car.....I can get it back in a week if I save 1 gallon of gas.
