From what I understand, this tape claims to trips the boundary layer, making the flow go to turbulent flow sooner, which prevents laminar separation. What I don't understand is that such a device is called a Turbulator - Sinha's device is called a Deturbulator

But a 20% increase in the lift/drag ratio (5% FE increase)? Sounds a little too good to be true...

Might be believeable if they are referring only to the l/d ratio really close to the stall point?

Unfortunately there aren't any independent reports about this other than those sponsored by the inventor. Those would be the first reports that would actually prove anything I guess. Untill then I'd stay sceptic
