Speedway motors has some sheet plastic that has a lot of uses. Of course it won't tolerate much heat. It can be permanently formed with careful use of a heatgun although this does destroy the gloss finish.

If you use some bracing...yes, it can be. Just have to be careful around the catalytic converter and down pipes...

Any sources of coroplast?

(I'm thinking the R/C aircraft suppliers probably sell it...not sure how competitive their prices are, though)

I picked up a sheet of 4x8 4mm white at the local sign making place. Got it fer just under $40 with tax.

I did find some thin plastic sheets that's similar to PVC at Home Depot fer $30. It's called 0.090 FRP 4x8 wall panel white. It's kinda smooth on the backside and definitely textured on the front side with various bumps. You can find it in the paneling section. Not sure how well it would hold up though...

In what section? I think there are regional differences in what they sell.

On another board awhile back, someone told me that he was purchasing FR4 (fiberglass "sheet") at Home Depot. FR4 is very similar to circuitboard substrate.

Needless to say, the HD stores in my area didn't sell it.

FRP = fiber reinforced plastic

Don't know if it will hold up to UV rays as I'm not finding information on that. Looks like it's primary use is in commercial bathrooms and public areas. It's supposed to be fiberglass free...although some sites are listing the F part as fiberglass...go figure.

We don't say the H word around here...

I'm here in Kemah, TX...just in between Houston and Galveston. Nope...not planning to evacuate during the official week of evacuation (if there is one) cause I don't want to be stuck in the same spot after 48 or 72 hours.

You should be able to find FRP panels locally besides Home Depot. Check Yahoo/Google or what ever search engine you use to look fer stuff. Prices should be close to $30.

I'm currently experimenting with Coroplast fer the front air dam. Had to cut channels so I could fold it over at a 90 degree angle.
