As the poster above said, sales of new fossil fueled cars will have been banned for half a decade already by then. I think anyone buying a new car in the next 5 years will give an EV serious consideration. Emission regs are getting stricter and stricter and so are noise regulations. In a few years, a lamborghinni will have to make no more noise than a Ford fiesta of today, they're already trialing acoustic cameras to fine people. And with particulate filters being fitted to all gas/diesel cars anyway, performance is slowly being reduced, getting into an EV is going to feel very fresh soon, I'm already looking at them.
