Re: Diesel conversions

Seen a cool conversion yesterday. a guy took a 97 (or something like that) dodge caravan that had a blown tranny (dodge, go figure hehehe) and pulled the complete k-frame out. Then he stuck in a 92 vw diesel front end under it.
Didn't get a chance to spend too much time around it but it was cool and got 35-40mpg. he used the vw struts,eng/tranny everything. Just fab'd up some mounting points. Sat low in the front but was really neat to see.

Oh yeah...it was a pre turbo direct inj diesel and was SSSLLLOOOWWWW LOL.
I think they're around 50hp or so, not much but something to idle back and forth to work with. Never got pictures but if I do I'll post them.

Anybody else see any cool conversions lately?
