i just took a trip last week end in my ford fusion sel awd. that is a 3.0l v6 with six speed auto and awd. set the cruise at 110kph and got a return of 7.6lphkm
i had to have the a/c on for most of the trip. i was pleased. the trip was about 230kms in length and it was heading out to the mountains and back.

I'd say those are pretty good results especially for driving in mountanous territory.

well it was not really mountains. just the foothills
