VX shift indicator light not working when..

Hi,

I've had a '94 VX for a week now. noticed that the shift indicator light doesn't work with the headlights on. I'm not technical, but I'm not stupid either. Any thoughts on a fix. thanks.

Larry

thanks Justin. I'll look into that. I do get shocked everytime i get out of the car.
I also noticed that I have no dashboard light, so it may just be a fuse.

Check the fuses first, but it sounds like you have a bad dimmer control switch. Run the wheel up and down a few times and make sure it's in the full bright position. If it still doesn't work and you have good fuse on it's circuit, then find a working replacement dimmer switch.

..turns out it was just a loose connection with the dash dimmer, which is on the same circuit as the shift indicator light (SIL).
