N2UAD Member Join Date: Sep 2009 Posts: 33	VX Alternator - Denso vs. Mitsubishi The Denso alternator on my VX died the other day. The laminations on the rotor got rusty and then started rubbing against the windings on the outer case. Not easily rebuidable. So I called around and could only find a Mitsubishi alternator locally. The parts listings show only the Denso alternator for the VX and I know that the ECU controls the voltage output of the alternator to maximize gas mileage. So does anyone know if the Mitsubishi alternator is compatible with the VX?
