Questions on misc. part interchangability for 88-91 Honda Civics...

I used to have a page that told me all this but it's long gone. I need to know if specific 88-89 parts (probably from a junkyard) will fit my rough n' tough '89 CRX HF:

- Will a driver's door from a hatchback or 4-door fit, assuming it's the right year (I need pillar mounted version, some '89s and all 90-91 CRXes had door mounted belts, making the window to be an inch or two short, other models should follow suit)

- Same question, but for the passenger fender. [will a hatchback, or 4-door fit] (90-91 fenders have a different mounting setup for the corner lights)

- My '92-95 D15Z1 (VX) engine came with a beat and dented to heck oil pan. Can I swap my D15B6 ('88-91 HF) to it or are the baffles designed different (to my knowledge both engines have a factory oil cooler mounted to the oil filter site, so I figure the pan is special and model specific too)

any info is appreciated, Thanks, Mak

CRX doors are unique, I believe. 89 HF door and all 88 doors will be pillar mounted belts.

The fenders are all different. A hatch or four foor fender will have a different shape/shape of the corner light.

I think the obd0 and obd1 oil pans are different, I have an obd1 pan if you want it.

Before I get my hopes up, how much would shipping be to 27028? Mak

BTW: that has got to be the fastest reply to one of my posts ever. Sweet.

The oil pan might be specific to vtec and non-vtec.

We might need someone else to verify if your b6 oilpan will fit.

As for the doors and fenders, SVOBoy is right... they are all unique.

If you lived closer, there are 3 CRXs in the junkyard right now. All of them have good bodies.

My local U-Pull-It is a tad pricey, $65 for a fender and $150 for a complete door (assuming I could find one that wasn't beat by the process of frontloading one and dropping it 6 inches from the next car) If my B6 pan doesn't fit and yours will, I'll be giving you a PM SVOboy. Who can answer the fit question IS the question. Mak

Looks like your oil pan should fit. Want a picture of mine to compare?
