opensource logger

i have an 05 civic and have made a 'jeff interface' for it. the interface works good but i have yet to find any opensource software to give me IPW (injector pulse width) as well as good o2 sensor data.

i have tried several windows based programs that give you real time data but for one, they don't give IPW and the data seems skewed high. my o2 sensor is reading .700v and the mph is off by 2 mph. some other data seems correct but none of this seems very accurate. the programs give generic obdII data and i don't think it's near what it's supposed to be.

what i'm trying to do is get a baseline of IPW and o2 sensor data as well as MAP voltage. i've built an HHO generator and would like for it to boost my fuel economy. i'm getting 36.5 mpg now and think i can get a little better. i also don't want to lean my car too much because i don't want to burn the engine up.

does anyone know of a very inexpensive way to get this data i'm looking for or of a program that works with an optocoupler interface?

tia

What is a "jeff interface"?

OBDII does not provide fuel injector pulse width / duty cycle information. There is a link in my sig to a thread about the way I'm getting that information, and in the top of that thread there's links to others.

I've been thinking about lacing injector information together with OBDII data lately, but I don't have anything more than vague notions yet.

What's an optocoupler?

Edit: Google partially answers the questions for me. Since the Jeff interface appears to be VW-specific, that leads me to wonder, can it be used to change settings like a Ross-Tech Micro-CAN cable?

here's a 'jeff interface': http://www.planetfall.com/~jeff/obdii/

as for an optocoupler....look @ 'the jeff interface', the parts and you'll find out.
