I love it because it makes it easy for me to keep track of when it needs to be done. I change when my mileage is divisible by 5,000 so knowing when the oil needs to be changed is as simple as looking at the odometer. Another reason I quit changing my own oil was Wal-Mart was offering a Mobil1 Synthetic oil change for $45. By the time I bought 5 quarts of oil and a filter it was like getting the labor for free. Why get greasy when there's no cost savings?

I'm surprised at how few hotrodders will take the minute or two to cut open their used filter (or even a new one, they are cheap) to see how well/poorly they are constructed. Then you can know for yourself and don't have to worry about internet hearsay.

i agree bobc and have done so, wich is why i can say i will not use fram. mobil is what i use...
