They could lean out the engine and you'd not know it until you burn't it up. I run hydrogen so I want it to work!!! I'd like to see the inside of an engine after a lean setup and a hydrogen cell install. About 6 months later.

My oil pressure went up 10 lbs....that seems good.

Thanks,
actually looking for any signs of the story of the Charlotte NC guy and the Honda with HHO

I would also love to see this guys HHO generator, there not hard to build, I made one basic one in 20 minutes using 4 aluminium bowls, the strange thing is those bowls now heat water up much faster, I can't explain that.

Hello -

Here is a diagram of my booster :

Attachment 1344

The interior is made up of concentric pipes like this Joe Cell on Ebay :

Attachment 1343

My problem has been that it is such a PITA. Because there is little room in my engine bay, I installed it inside the front driver's fender, which made it almost impossible to maintain (you need to add distilled water at least every other fill-up if you are using it on a regular basis).

Also, I have an ethical conundrum. Using the EFIE or some other spoof for the 02 sensor is needed to force lean-burn, but then I am messing with my emissions. I don't mind this as long as I can prove I am still compliant. But, it's hard to prove this without an onboard NOx sensor, which only exists on a few (diesel) cars and is very $$$. I am hoping that clean-diesel technology will bring the cost down soon.

When I was running my booster, I didn't have the EFIE (see below) in place to force the A/F ratio to go lean, so I never saw any MPG gain.

Time willing, I hope to restart the project this summer. I want to prove it works, and then prove the emissions are still clean.

Here's the EFIE I didn't have installed during my initial hydrogen-boost testing.

I need to recharge the booster with a fresh batch of electrolyte water. I also intend to incorporate a DC motor controller to limit the amps to the booster :

If this works, then there would not be a huge amperage penalty when using the booster

If I had time I would lurk on the above website, http://hhoinfo.ning.com/, to see what they have to say.

What amazes me is that 2 years ago, there were maybe less than 75 hits for HHO on ebay. Now it is up to 700.

Thanks for the video link, did the guy just have a copper coil in his HHO jar?

coils I can make plenty of, stainless steel pipes are expensive.

-1 for hydrogen.

I did a quick test with the fuel cell off today....very disappointing. No gain at all!!! I have the same efie coming next week. I'm sure leaning the engine will help but I'm not sure this will be a good thing. I'm starting to believe this is more about hype and not reality. I don't want to harm my engine by leaning out without a benefit.

look at my garage figures. My gains came more in a change in driving habits.

Self-discipline is hard, but if you can test things more individually, it really helps. I have decided to start EOCing, but I want to test some aero mods against my baseline, so I'll have to wait and not EOC.

Being in Charlotte I would love to track it down
I think it was on channel 9 WSOC TV. You might could email the news station and get more information. I don't remember for sure if this was the right station or not, but it is the one I usually watch so I am pretty sure that is where I saw it. I wish I had thought and wrote down the man's name. Guess I had a brain fart when it was on. Where are you located in Charlotte? I live in Mt. Pleasant in Cabarrus County. Maybe we could get together sometime. I am wanting to try a HHO system too. If you find any information on this story please send me an email with the information you find.

The old guy in the story claimed he got 70mpg, from a car thats suppose to give 30 odd mpg, his jar and coil looked very tatty, not sure what to make of it without seeing his HHO production, I hope its true.
