HELP 95 Honda VX O2 Sensor

I have a 95 Honda VX. It's throwing a 48 code. Lean air fuel mix ratio. I was told this is most likely an 02 sensor. I tried the cheap stuff first. I replaced the fuel filter and cleaned the intake. So on and so forth. I also have ran two tanks of Lucas treated gas throuth it. Tires to 40psi. Bone stock unit. 200k miles. So, it's gotta be the oxygen sensor. I have been getting about 37-38mpg... mostly highway. I went to advance and picked up a sensor for 68 bucks.. not the right sensor, it's a 4 pin... I have a 7. The one with 7 is ... are you sitting down? $317. Wow... they also have a universal that you have to wire in... My question is this... will the universal work? (only $70) or do I need to plunk down 317. Also, does anyone know about any sites that offer an oem unit for less money? Thanks alot guys.

I also pulled the old sensor out and cleaned it... I don't think that helped.. the check engine light used to come on and off, now it stays on. Thanks again.

Look thru posts on this website and look around on the internet. From time to time others have found cheaper options that work. They come and go.

Re: HELP 95 Honda VX O2 Sensor

i found one at rockauto.com .. 137. many for 189... Beats the dealer 580, auto zone and advance and oriley and all the rest are 289-400.. That's insane for an 02 sensor!
