crx hf timing belt change lowered mpg's

I did put a new timing belt on my crx and now my mileage has dropped 5 mpg. I have done many of these and really don't think the timing is off, it runs great. I did notice the new idler pulley was kind of stiff to turn. I figured it would free up after a little while. Any ideas?
