Does anyone know if running the stock 13 inch wheels on a 1988 crx hf would give better gas milage than larger wheels? I have 15 inch wheels and just bought new tire. My milage went from 45 mpg to 40 with the new tires. That makes me wonder if returning to the oem wheel and tire size if I could acctually get 50mpg like it is supposed to.
did you adjust for difference in diameter when you calculated mpg? on my 84 crx, I got better mpg when I replaced the 175 70 13 tires with stock size, 165 70 13. I would think 15 " wheels would take a lot of power, and use more fuel.
