Ufo, there is a vx being parted out on ebay, maybe he'd ship you a single rim for a small fee. shipping might not be worth it, but it's worth looking into. here's the link:

edit: just an idea, maybe you could save on shipping by hiking the appalacian trail end to end to pick up the rim.. he's in georgia

seriously though, i feel for you too, that stinks.

good decision though, i wouldn't risk it either.

I picked up a set of OZ Racing alloy wheels with near new Blizzak snow tires for my VW. They were advertised as having 'curb rash', but no other issues. Not true. Literally, one was not true. The wheel 'moved' side to side almost 1/2 inch as it was spun adn had a 1/4 inch up down motion.
I went to a wheel straightening specialist (do a Web search for MCWheel or someone closer to you), paid $80 and watched as the wheel was heated and hydraulically pushed and pulled back into shape. The dial indicator showed that the run-out was less than .080 total when I said "good enough". Money well spent.
The curb rash still exists, but structural integrity and function are not reduced.
