Okay folks. This was my first attempt at the jumper wire so I made sure to verify the code. I let it cycle through all codes 3 times.

The same code kept coming up: 4 long blinks, 8 short blinks

So, to me that says replace my 02 sensor. I'm thinking of buying from the link in my post above. Does anyone know if they are reputable?

Also, is there any estimate of MPG improvement if I am conscience of using the lean burn mode with a working sensor? My best tank got 42 MPG and I'm happy when I pull 40 MPG since the A/C has become a must lately. Since then, I've been getting mid 30s with A/C running.

There are links to two sources for proper wideband VX O2 sensors at deeply discounted prices in my sig. Users have reported success with them, but there is some doubt.

I may save up and get one of those that are for sale on ebay as 'brand new', but only the NTK/NGK OEM part. I called Honda and they wanted somewhere between $530-$550. Even NGK's listing online is much less than that. I'm hoping to get that one, but at a discounted price someplace reputable.
