88 Civic Shift Linkage

I am in the process of doing a automatic-manual conversion. And i wanted to know if any of you knew if the shift linkage off of a 92-95 civic would fit my 88 honda civic sedan?

I've heard that it won't, but you'll be drilling holes anyhow to mount your shift linkage for the conversion, so it may work...as long as it fits through the hole left by the auto shifter in the hump, you'll be fine.
