Gas cards to help track mileage?

Looking for a credit card that allows you to enter mileage at the pump.

A while back, I used to work at a delivery company. We had a fleet of cargo vans and trucks and all of us had a credit card that'd only work for fuel, repairs, or towing.

When we swiped the card at a fuel pump the pump would ask for a vehicle ID and the mileage... These items would show up on the statement at the end of the month.

I want this for personal use because both my I don't always have a pen handy to write down mileage and have a habit of leaving the receipts in my pocket until they're illegible.

My wife is also bad about texting me when she fills up.

Anyone have any suggestions on a card like this for personal use?

That sounds like a great card feature. I've honestly never heard about that. But I may be able to help you find it online, what state do you live in?

Actually i'm sorry, I searched all over google and I couldn't find anything like you explained (although apparently New York schools have something like you explained, but all I could find where their guidelines and code of conduct on how to use it.) You can always text fuelly and it records for you. Sorry I couldn't help much.

CFN and Pacific Pride are commercial card lock systems that will do that. They have their own private pumps usually, and you can't use the card at most gas stations. IIRC they also require you to purchase a minimum amount per month that is way beyond what any normal person would use (something equivalent to filling up every 2-3 days.)
