Fuelly Apps Are Coming! [Logged]

I just wanted to let you all know that Fuelly has acquired the GasTracker+ iOS app and we will be working with the developer to release our own official Fuelly app in the next couple of months. In the meantime we are going to set the GasTracker+ iOS app to FREE so everyone can download it and start to give us your feedback. We'll submit updates for minor issues but our plan is to release the app under our own Fuelly developer account. Once that is done you will need to remove GasTracker+ and install our official app.

Here is a link to the GasTracker+ app

Will the Fuelly app be made available in the UK, GasTracker+ currently isn't.

Thanks

Andrew

Yes, we need to continue to develop the app so it can handle liters and other currencies. We hope to include that in the first version released under our Fuelly developer account.

Will the app be able to store a fill up info with no data connection and then upload when next connected?

I need to find out how we can beta test apps without releasing them to the iOS store. If we can do that, then your assistance would be greatly appreciated!

We have discussed an offline mode to store fill-ups and sync them when a data connection is available. We have also discussed taking it one step further where you could see your vehicle profile when offline (ie. all your data would be on your phone so the visualizations would still work). Our main focus in the coming releases will be to make sure we replicate the functionality on the web based system with the app and then focus on rolling the same out for Android. Then once we feel we have a solid foundation in place we will consider some of these other features for future releases. No ETA or promises on them but they are being discussed.

Thanks again for your feedback, keep it coming!

I'm interested in beta testing also. I'm running into bugs (crash) in GasTracker+ on vehicle selection. Where do we report bugs/anomalies? Are you requesting feature requests too?

GREAT!

I'll download this today.

How do you prefer feedback? Post here or e-mail?

Add me as a possible beta tester.

One request I'll throw out, which may not be feasible, is using OCR to snap a pic of the pump and import Gallons/Price and a pic of the odo for miles.

I too would like to be a part of the beta testing. I use Fuelly religiously, and would love to have an app to view visualizations as well as adding fuel stops in offline mode. GPS would be cool to automatically identify the station I'm at.

For Beta testing iOS apps look at http://hockeyapp.net/

You are however limited to 100 iOS devices per Apple.
