The new engine is now in the jeep and runs great. Had some permatek in the carb inlet screen which made the jeep cut out one day. The install on the clutch must have been off as there is a grabby spot and also some slippage. Going into the shop on the 20th for a new clutch and to seal some trans seeping. Blew out all carb jets. Hoping for a smoother idle when cold. Have a noise from engine and will take by AMS to let Darin listen to it. The oper. temps seem to be exactly the same as the old engine so I do believe the radiator is the culprit. Also, the temp. gauge stopped working so bought all new Bosche gauges. The Willys fan blade didn't seem as strong as the Derale, so I put the Derale on with 2" fan spacer. Also remover the shroud extension for better access...much better! The throttle linkage bound up so I adjusted it and the spring. Seems better, but I haven't driven yet...waiting for the clutch before driving.
